I said a few times that I don't do blood and gore in my Halloween art, it's really very boring and uninspired. My personal exception is the French Revolution...I think it's fascinating. And it's history, so you could never call it gratuitous.
I have made a few guillotines for sale, they are an impressive 38" tall.
Paired with a few of my freshly cut royal heads, they would make a fantastic centerpiece on your Halloween dining table. Or how about a head at each place setting with the guillotine surrounded with blood red flowers?
If our own government (and Wall Street too) doesn't shape up, we may see this dreadful machine used again!

Oh this is grossing me out, so it is very affective!! I do love how you kept their hair and faces in keeping with the period. That makes it less gore, and more historic. .gruesome as it was.
